About Nicole Osborne
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Nicole, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate in North Carolina, I am dedicated to helping children, adults, and families navigate life’s most uncomfortable feelings and behaviors. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University, and my practice is rooted in a deeply inclusive, person-centered approach. This means you or your child will always find a safe, non-judgmental, and affirming space where your unique identity and story are truly honored.
I bring extensive experience to the table, specializing in supporting those navigating mood disorders like anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as individuals walking the path of recovery from substance use. Because I believe in meeting my clients exactly where they are—whether that is through creative expression or steady, structured crisis intervention—I am also actively working towards my Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. Whether I am sitting on the floor connecting with a child through the language of play, or providing a compassionate, stabilizing anchor for an adult facing complex emotional challenges, my mission is to help you feel seen, safe, and empowered to heal.
Growing up, I often felt like my emotions were "too big" for my body. Through my own journey, I learned a life-changing truth: understanding intense feelings and knowing what to do with them is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and mastered with the right guidance. My four years as an elementary school teacher taught me how to translate complex emotional concepts into a warm, child-friendly environment. At the same time, my specialized clinical work with adults navigating mood and personality disorders allows me to provide a steady, structured, and deeply compassionate anchor for those facing complex mental health challenges. Whether I am helping a child find healthy coping strategies or guiding an adult through profound emotional dysregulation, my goal is the same: to help you make sense of your internal world and build lasting emotional balance

How Can I Help?
Your emotional well-being matters, and you don’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you are navigating your own intense feelings or feeling completely overwhelmed by how to help your child, please know this: it is entirely normal to feel scared and unsure right now. I am dedicated to building a rock-solid partnership with you—one rooted in deep empathy, unconditional support, and zero judgment. Together, we will create a safe space to gently explore the root of hard emotions, learning how to understand them rather than fear them.
My practice focuses on giving you relief from day one. We will immediately begin building a personalized toolbox of practical skills that you can use to calm the storm in the moment, while simultaneously laying the groundwork for lifelong emotional healing. Whether you are a parent seeking peace for your family or an individual longing to feel grounded again, my goal is to help you step out of survival mode and into a life where you feel empowered, in control, and deeply confident in your own skin.
Our time together is a safe, gentle space built entirely around your unique needs. We will move completely at your own pace, creating a comforting environment where you can feel truly seen and supported. By blending the practical coping tools of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), the deep heart-centered healing of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and the creative, expressive outlet of Play Therapy, we work together to gently uncover the root of past hurts. Together, we will help you make sense of overwhelming feelings, find your inner balance, and guide you toward a place of lasting peace and emotional well-being. My core philosophy is "I am here—I hear you—I understand—I care—and I delight in you."
